The Hills
The Hills was the first village built by the Howard Hughes Corporation when development of Summerlin officially began in 1990. Spanning 394 acres, The Hills was built out between 1990 and 2000 with Mediterranean- and Southwestern-inspired single-family homes.
Before a single home was sold, Howard Hughes Corp. completed The Hills Park in the fall of 1990. The Champlin family moved in as Summerlin's first-ever residents in March 1991.

As Summerlin's first village, The Hills offers a level of maturity newer villages haven't grown into.
This 7-plus acre park was Summerlin's very first, featuring a central pavilion and lighted tennis courts.
